This page contains pictures and information about the Garden Bermius
Grasshoppers that we found in the
Brisbane area, Queensland, Australia.
- Male, body length 25mm
- We did not found a female of this species yet. Females are looked the same
as males and with larger body size,
about 35mm in body length.

- Pictures
were taken on Apr
2007, Karawatha Forest near the Lagoon. This species is less common than
the Creek Grasshopper in Brisbane.

- There are a few species in the tribe Oxyinae
which look very similar. They can be recognized by the shape of the male
cercus. The male cercus of this species are slender, tapering, not toothed and
apex sharp.
