- Gum Nut Leaf Beetle I

sp., body length 8mm
- This beetle resemble a gum nut. Its body is dull
brown in colour with dusty surface texture. They are sometimes found in Karawatha Park during early summer.
The beetles were wandering on young gum trees alone. When we came close, they quickly ran away.

- We found this leaf beetle the second time in Anstead Forest on Oct 2009. It
was resting on the new leaves of a young gum tree. It did not move even a bit
during we took about ten photos. Please check this page
