FAMILY CHRYSOMELIDAE
This page contains information and pictures about Lantana Leafminer Beetles
that we found in the Brisbane area, Queensland, Australia.
- Body length 8mm
-
-
-
- Beside the Lantana Leafminer Beetle1,
this is another species of beetle released as biological control of Lantana
camara. On the first pictures above next to the beetle was the Lantana
Lace Bug, which is also introduced to control the Lantana.
-
-
-
- This species is less common as the Lantana Leafminer
Beetle1, we sometimes found it on Lantana plants. Usually both Lantana Leafminer
Beetles can be found on the same plant.
-
- Thank to Chris Reid
for the identification of this leaf beetle.
