- The leaf beetles in subfamily Criocerinae have the narrow thorax, so the common name Narrow-necked Leaf Beetle.
- This leaf beetle is bright red in colour with a large black spots on the back.
- We always found the beetle on this same host plant in Karawatha Forest, which the plant had not been identified yet.
- The plant is usually found next to a creek or in wet area.
- Male and female look the same.
