FAMILY CHRYSOMELIDAE
- This page contains pictures and information about Pittosporum Leaf beetles of
Genus Lamprolina that we found in the Brisbane area, Queensland,
Australia.
-

- Body length 12mm
-
-
-
We found
this leaf beetle on plant Bursaria sp. Sunnybank near Bulimba
Creek during late summer.
-
-

-
-
In mid summer there were plenty of them on the host plants. We easily found
them every year.
-
-
- They are slow moving and seldom move a bit. When we came very close. They
simply drop onto the ground.
-

-
- In mid summer time they were usually found in pair.
-
- We miss-identified this species as Lamprolina aeneipennis. Chris Reid
sent us email and advised is is not L. aeneipennis but probably L. impressicollis.
-
-
-
- Host plant Bursaria sp., Pittosporacea.
-
- Thank to Chris
Reid for the identification of this leaf beetle.
