Small 9-spotted Leaf Beetle -
Tinosis decemmaculata
Subfamily Chrysomelinae, FAMILY CHRYSOMELIDAE
This page contains pictures and information about Small 9-spotted Leaf beetles that we found in the Brisbane area, Queensland,
Australia.
Body length 6mm
The leaf beetle is bright orange in colours with 9 small dots on body. Its
dots are highly varied among individual.
This small leaf beetle was found on a small plant in Yugarapul
Park on Oct 2007. On a small plant there were a few of them there
feeding freely. They were "surface-mining" on the leaves.
We went to
the Yugarapul Park many times through out the year but only saw them
once.
Thank to Chris
Reid for the identification of this leaf beetle.
