Grey Rhiniin Fly - Metallea incisuvalis

Body length 6mm
 
The Metallea sp. can be distinguished by the strong setae on thorax. We found this fly when it was feeding on Grass-tree flowers.

From the reference information the Metallea species is associated with termite mounds but not much is known about their life cycle yet.
