Male, body length 8mm
This fly likes to rest on leaves very close to the ground.

This fly has the blue-green metallic colours thorax covered with dense bristle-dots. The abdomen is golden brown yellow with black central marking. Wings are slightly smoky yellow with apical brown spot.
