Winged Spider - Araneus albotriangulus

This page contains pictures and information about Bush Orb Weaver Spiders that we found in the Brisbane area, Queensland, Australia.

Body length 5mm 
 
This is a small spider. It is winged but it cannot fly. Its wings are just the yellow patterns on its abdomen.

This spider is in the orb web spiders family but it only builds loose tangle web on top part of plants. Near the tangle usually is its retreat where the egg-sac can be found. The egg-sac is shown in the photos above as the fluffy silk pad.
