- This fly is banded with black and grey colours. It has the broad lower
calypter. The abdomen is narrow and elongated cylindrical shape. The wings
are slightly tinted with brown colour.

- Pictures were taken near Bulimba Creek in Wishart during mid summer. It was
searching for something among the leaves.

- This fly is common in Brisbane bushes. We easily found them along Bulimba
Creek.
