This is a large caterpillar has a pair of dorsal glands on abdominal segment eight and a pair of erectile on the metathorax. The caterpillar feeds on Eucalyptus.

We found the moth resting on a grass stem late in the afternoon in Karawatha Forest. It was in mid summer. The moth did not quit move even disturbed.

The moth was pale brown in colour with brawn dots pattern. Its hind wings were pale orange. It had a snout body. We can tell the moth was a male by the shape of its antenna.
