FAMILY COCCINELLIDAE

Diomin ladybirds are small size (2-4mm). Their body is covered with short hairs. They feed on scale insects, aphids and spider mites.
 
We found one species in Brisbane.

Diomus notescens, body length 2.5mm
This ladybirds is very small. The body is dark green in colour with orange-brown spot on each of the forewings. We occasionally saw them in our hibiscus plants wandering around. For more information please click on here.
