Body length 18mm  
This robber fly is medium in size and dark grey in colour. All its legs are dark grey. The outer edge white line of its thorax form a large white circuit. Its abdomen is long and half is extended longer than its wings.

Wings are tinted in dark brown colour. The antenna is three segmented and without terminal style.

This robber fly likes to rest on the ground.
