- Body length 20mm
- This Longicorn Beetle mimics a wasp (Eumeninae ) to gain protection.
- To mimic a wasp, it has the very short elytra (wing cover). There are the creamy-white bands on its black abdomen. The antenna are relatively short (as a longicorn beetle) and black in colour.
- We found this longicorn beetle once on Venman Circuit near Tingalpa Creek. It was a cool sunny morning on May 2012. The beetle was resting leaves of a medium size She-oak Tree.
- The beetle was slow moving. It only moved a little bit when disturbed.
