Tea-tree Longicorn Beetle - Platyomopsis obliqua

Body length 35mm 

 

We found this beetle on a large Tea-tree (Leptospermum polygalifolium) in Karawatha Forest on early summer Oct 2007. The beetle was very slow moving.
