Orange-blue Lauxaniid Fly II - Sapromyza occipitalis

Body length 6mm
 
This Lauxaniid Fly has head and thorax in orange colour, abdomen in bluish-black and all legs in black.

We occasionally found the fly in our back yard.

We found this mating pair in Yugarapul Park during early summer on a Banksia tree.
