- This small fly is ant-like and black in colour. Its wings are clear and
have a small dark spot on wing near apex. They
have the habit of continuously waving the wings when at rest.

- Found this small fly on Mt Coot-tha on Nov 2010.

- Above photo was taken in Lamington Park on Dec 2010. There were hundreds of
them on a one meter tall plants.
