This page contains information and pictures about Yellow Cockchafer Beetles that we found in the Brisbane area, Queensland, Australia.

Body length 10mm
 
On Sep 2010 near the Lagoon in Karawatha Forest, there were the blooming tea-tree flowers. We found there were a lot of different species insects visiting those flowers, including this Nectar Scarab Beetle mating pair.

This Flower Dung Beetle have the typical brick-red colour we believed is mimicking the Lycid Beetle. Why mimicking Lycid? We have the detail discussion in this page.
