- The Brown Flower Beetle usually found feeding nectar on gum tree flowers. This beetle
can be found feeding nectar
on various native plants during summer.

- Above pictures were taken in October, late spring or early summer in
Brisbane. During early to mid summer, they are common in Brisbane
backyard and bush.

- Like most other beetles, this beetle employ the drop
and play death tactic to escape. We usually put our hand below where the beetle
standing when we come close to it. Most of the time it will drop onto our hand. After a
minute or two, it will turn over and slowly walk away.
