Body length 10mm
 
We found this Green Solder Fly in Karawatha Forest on Sep 2010. It was feeding on blooming Tea-tree flowers.

Gerard sent us email advise that this is a soldierfly, so family Stratiomyiidae, Could be the Ophlodontha.
