- Body length 40mm

- The Red Swamp Dragon is a medium size dragonfly with slender red abdomen.
The abdomen tip is black in colour. The head and thorax is light bright
green. Its wings are relatively long.

- This dragonfly is uncommon. We first found this dragonfly on Feb 2011 in
Karawatha Forest on a lagoon near the Melaleuca Circuit.

- The dragonfly was resting on top of reed. When we came closer, it flied
and rested on a few tens meters away. It returned to the same perch only
when we hided away.
