Black-headed Orange Wasp - Gavrana spinosa

Family ICHNEUMONIDAE

This page contains pictures and information about Black-headed Orange Wasps that we found in the Brisbane area, Queensland, Australia.

Body length 15mm

 

The wasp has the orange colour body and black head. There is the white marks next to the eyes and antennae are white banded. All legs are orange colour with white and black tarsus. 

 

 

Pictures were taken on Jan 2009 in Carbrook Wetland.
