- Body length 10mm

- This Brown Wasp-mimic Fly is dark reddish-brown in
colour with relative short antenna. The antenna are in reddish-brown. Body is
dark-reddish-brown with short dense golden hairs. Thorax is darker in colour.
Scutellum is brown with apex round. All legs are reddish brown. Wings are
clear with faintly greyish. The wing veins are slightly suffused with dark
grey. Halteres are creamy yellow.
