- They are commonly called the Strobe Ants because of their rapid and jerking
movement.

- Those ants run rapidly with short, jerky motions. They have very large eyes on
top edges of their head, with good vision and can see backwards. Their body is bright orange
brown in colour with black head and abdomen tip. They usually found hunting individually
or in group on floor or on
tree trunk.

- They build small nest on ground with one small hole as entrance.

- They are common in Brisbane eucalypt forests.
