- Those ants run rapidly with short, jerky motions. They have very large eyes on
top edges of their head, with good vision and can see backwards. Their body is
most black with orange pronotum and orange eye spots pattern on gaster. They usually found hunting individually
or in group on floor or on
tree trunk.

- This ant look similar to the Black-headed Strobe
Ant except smaller in size and with
dark waist and legs. They are quite common in Brisbane bushes

- They are commonly called the Strobe Ants because of their rapid and jerking
movement.
